Jack Knight’s concept to production capability covers the complete transmission and driveline system from the engine’s rear face, to the wheel hub for road, motorsport and off highway applications, as well as Public Sector and Rail.

We have particular specialism in high torque density applications and through our long-standing experience with motorsport we are able to take prototype systems into production.

Thanks to our involvement in motorsport since the early 1950’s, we have extensive experience in automated manual transmissions (AMT), using hydraulic, electric or pneumatic actuation. For more than a decade we have successfully proven prototype AMT systems on a number of applications from race cars to high performance sports cars, light trucks and off-highway equipment.

We also have experience in the development of specialist transmission and driveline systems for hybrid vehicles, which require multi-input gearbox systems and electric element installation expertise.
We are used to negotiating tight packaging constraints and have carried out numerous front to rear wheel drive, and two to four wheel drive conversions within existing chassis.
